Vair, Evelyn Joyce

Mrs. Evelyn Joyce Vair, beloved wife of the late John Vair, passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, in Fort Macleod, at the age of 71 years.
Evelyn was born in Kelowna, B.C. to Sidney and Anne Smalls, on Nov. 1, 1939. She met and married John Vair and together had three children, Lyal, Jackie and Audrey.
Evelyn is survived by her sister Betty Perrin; children Lyal Vair, Jackie (Peter) Gillespie, Audrey (Butch) Burrows; four grandchildren, Alisha (Dave) Velthuis, Ryan (Crystal) Deisting, Jody and Damien Burrows; six great grandchildren Jayme, Zachary, Jonah, Chandler, Cadence and Cage; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was predeceased by her husband John; brothers-in-law Harvey Perrin and Fred Vair; nephews Sidney Vair and Art Vair; niece Lyla Vair; grandchildren Ricky and Kelsey Burrows.
Evelyn was loved dearly and will be missed greatly by all who knew her and had their lives touched by her.
A huge thank you to the Fort Macleod Ambulance and all the staff at the Community Care Beds in Fort Macleod, who took such wonderful care of Evelyn.
A time of remembrance will be held at her sister’s home at 1003 Second Ave., 10th St., Fort Macleod, on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, between 2-5 p.m.
