Santa Claus Parade to have over 100 entries

Santa Claus will have plenty of company Saturday, Nov. 24 on the parade route in Fort Macleod.
More than 100 entries are registered for the 31st annual Fort Macleod Santa Claus Parade, and more are expected before the parade begins at 11 a.m.
“We’re in great shape,” said John Viens of the Santa Claus Parade committee.
The parade kicks off at 11 a.m. on Second Avenue, proceeding north to Main Street and then east to Sixth Avenue.
Parade participants will begin lining up at 10:20 a.m.
The following is a list of parade entries, organized according to the locations in which they will marshall.
2nd Avenue — Town Crier, Committee Theme Sign, Legion Colour Party, RCMP, Cadets, Red Buckets Are coming, Fort Macleod Hospital Auxiliary (honorary parade marshals), Chamber of Commerce banner, Fort Macleod Extendicare, Village Greenery, The Macleod Gazette banner, A&W Restaurant, EMS, Eastern Star banner, Alberta Job’s Daughters.
