Segboer, Jean

Mrs. Jeannette (Jean) Segboer of Fort Macleod, beloved wife of Abraham (Bunny) Segboer, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at the age of 74.
Jean was an amazing woman with a gentle and kind soul. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who met her.
Born Nov. 16, 1937 at Meyronne, Sask. to Delphis and Theresa Philibert, Jean was the oldest of eight children. She moved to Alberta with her family when she was a teenager and when she was 16 met and fell in love with the man who would be her partner for 55 years. On Nov. 5, 1956 they married and they lived on the family farm for close to 50 years until 2006 when they moved into their current residence in Fort Macleod. They had three children Dan (Darlene), Randy (Patti) and Diana; seven grandchildren, Justin, Ryan, Zachary, Benjamin, Kaitlin, Thomas and Hannah; one great grandchild, Cohen; and granddogs Jake, Tucker, Max and Pepper.
Jean was predeceased by her parents, Delphis and Theresa and one brother Michael.
Jean worked for many years at The Macleod Gazette before returning to work with her daughter at the Drive In Restaurant that they were reopening. Regardless of where she was, Jean was quick to fit in and possessed a sharp sense of humor and fun that she brought to everything she did. Jean loved and supported her family through her amazing strength, grace, kindness and gentleness.
