Police charge man, 18 with second degree murder

An 18-year-old Blood Tribe resident is in custody charged with second degree murder.
Blood Tribe Police also charged the man with offering an indignity to human remains in the death of 25-year-old Jaimie Black Rabbit, also of the Blood Tribe.
Blood Tribe Police were called Friday to investigate a report of a person missing since June 14.
The ensuing investigation resulted in the discovery of human remains which were identified as Black Rabbit.
Blood Tribe Police and RCMP Major Crimes and Forensic Identification Section are investigating the matter as a homicide.
The medical examiner will conduct an autopsy early next week to determine the cause of death.
Investigators confirmed Sunday an 18-year-old male is in custody.
Blood Tribe Police said the name of the accused will not be released as he was believed to be a young offender at the time of the offence.
The accused will make his first court appearance July 4 in Cardston Youth Court.
