Fort Macleod Royals had a strong weekend on a road swing to Montana for a pair of American Legion baseball doubleheaders.
The Royals won three of four games against Havre North Stars and Tri-County Cardinals to improve their league record to 6-4.
On Saturday the Royals received a 12-1 spanking at the hands of the North Stars, but rallied to win the second game of the doubleheader 12-6.
On Sunday the Royals had to come from behind in both games as they beat Tri-County Cardinals 10-6 and 10-9 in Conrad, Mont.
On Wednesday at home the Royals swept both ends of their doubleheader with visiting Tri-Country Cardinals.
Aidan Kidd earned the win in the first game as he gave up three runs on seven hits and two walks with striking out two. Jack Shepherd was flawless in an inning of relief on the mound.
Danny Shepherd was 1-for-4 with four runs batted in.
In the second game TJ Tornquist earned a 14-4 win, allowing four runs on three hits and three walks.
Jack Shepherd was 3-for-4 with a walk and three RBI and Tornquist was 1-for-4 with a double and three RBI.
On June 11 the Royals lost the first game of a twin bill with Great Falls Chargers 6-1 but rallied to win the nightcap 13-12 when Ryden Attwood singled to drive in the winning run.
Danny Shepherd took the loss in the first game, allowing two runs on two hits and a walk with two strikeouts. Garet Burton gave up four runs on six hits in 2 2/3 innings of relief.
Danny Shepherd was 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI and Blair Goodreau was 1-for-3.
Josh Foster got the win in the second game, allowing four runs on five hits and three walks.
Ryden Attwood was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI. Danny Shepherd was 2-for-4 with a double, triple and three RBI.

The Royals now have a busy week of practice before heading to Medicine Hat on Saturday, June 22 for a doubleheader with the Knights.
The following weekend the Royals are at Whitefish for a tournament.
The weekend road trip capped a busy week for the Royals, who played in a tournament June 8-9 at Havre and then hosted Great Falls Electrics on June 11 and Tri-County Cardinals on Wednesday in a pair of doubleheaders.
The Royals line-up includes Ryan Cook, Aidan Kidd, Ty Odney and Michael McTighe of Fort Macleod.
Pincher Creek players on the Royals are Josh Foster, Blair Goodreau and Tyson Goodreau.
Jack Shepherd and Danny Shepherd are from Lundbreck, Ryden Attwood is from Nanton, TJ Tornquist is from Lomond and Kelten Jensen and Garet Burton are from Lethbridge.
Coaches are Ben Paskal and Brad Kropinak.
