Sam Zoeteman of Fort Macleod, father of Deborah Zoeteman, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at the age of 78 years.
Sam is survived by his daughter Deborah; grandchild Fallon Campbell; and sister Lena Laidlaw.
Sam was predeceased by his parents Isaac and Elizabeth Zoeteman; son Trent Zoeteman; and brothers Larry and Bob Zoeteman.
Sam was born in Fort Macleod and grew up on the family farm in Pearce. Here he spent his time continuing to farm until his untimely death.
Sam was an active part of the Pearce community and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Many considered him the Honourary Mayor of Pearce and was looked to for his ingenuity, leadership and dependability.
In his spare time Sam loved to curl and was a member of the Town and Country League, where he could be found every Thursday.
Sam’s most prized possessions were his son Trent, his daughter Deborah and his much beloved granddaughter Fallon.
He will be eminently missed.
With Sam’s wishes, no official service will be held.
