The southbound lanes of Highway 2 about 12 kilometres north of Fort Macleod were closed Friday morning when a semi tractor-trailer unit rolled across the road.
The crash happened just after 10 a.m. Friday, with the semi landing on its side completely blocking the highway.
Fort Macleod Fire department, RCMP and EMS crews responded to the crash.
Traffic is being re-routed around the crash site but drivers can expect delays into the early afternoon.
The northbound lanes of Highway 2 are open.
While they were attending to that crash scene, police received a report of another semi rollover a few kilometres south.
That crash landed in the ditch beside the northbound lanes and did not interrupt traffic.
The RCMP have issued a travel advisory regarding high winds.
