Fargo plans Fort Macleod casting call for extras and vehicles

Fort Macleod’s historic Main Street will have a starring role in the TV series Fargo.
Fort Macleod residents and their automobiles also have a chance to appear in the series starring Kirsten Dunst.
A casting call for caucasian men and women aged 18 years and over will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7 at the Scout Hall in Fort Macleod.
Scenes from the 10-part mini series will be shot in Fort Macleod and in and around Calgary until May 5.
Fargo is set in 1979, so casting director Alyson Lockwood of Classic Casting said men will require hairstyles and facial hair to suit the time period.
That means men cannot have short, business-style haircuts and woman must have hair styles and colours to suit the time period.
Vehicles built from 1962-’79 are also needed for scenes in Fargo.
Anyone interested in seeing their vehicle in Fargo can bring photographs, or the actual vehicle, to the casting call.
