The Empress Theatre welcomes roots rock ‘n’ roll artist Leeroy Stagger and his band to its stage on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 7:30 p.m.
Stagger, a hard-working singer-songwriter who makes his home in Lethbridge, just released his 10th album in as many years, Dream it all Away.
The latest album is an eclectic mixture of styles: classic rock, R&B, alt-country, folk, rockabilly and blues.
It is the result of a period that included major life changes — the birth of his son as well as a failed record deal.
“When I started to come out of the fog, I found my story — faith and struggle, birth and rebirth, love and darkness,” Stagger said.
In 2014, Stagger won the Pros and Prose Award at the Calgary Folk Music Festival for his song Living in America.
His album Radiant Land was a nominee for the 2013 Western Canadian Music Award for Roots Solo Recording of the Year.
Stagger took his new record on a cross-‐Canada tour earlier this summer.
Stagger’s stop at the Empress is part of the Centre Stage concert series line-up for the 2015-’16 season.
Tickets are available at www.macleodempress.com or by calling 403-553-4404.
