Harvey Harrison

Harvey Brown Harrison, beloved husband of the late Joan Harrison, passed away peacefully at the Salem Manor in Leduc on Friday, March 18, 2016, at the age of 95 years.
Harvey was born in 1920 at Carman, Man. Harvey and Joan were married in 1943 and he has gone to join his beloved wife of 71 years.
Harvey will be lovingly remembered by his three daughters, Judy Harrison, Brenda (Paul) Lange and Faye (Jim Jones) Harrison; six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Harvey served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War Two. After the war he purchased a farm across from his parents. After eight years on the farm the family moved to Carman where he became a well-known mechanic.
Harvey moved the family to Devon, Alta. when the west was booming. It was there that he was a mechanic in the oilfield.
After 20 years in Devon, and all the children had left home, Harvey was offered a job in Fort Macleod as a mechanic. He ran the Shell gas station and after tiring of that he opened up his own business.
After retirement, Harvey and Joan remained active in the church. They also took many cruises and trips. The memory of his life lives on forever.
A funeral service was held on Friday, March 25, 2016, with interment at the Granum Christian Reformed Cemetery.
