Music with a message and an aerial act highlight the Willow Creek Gospel Jamboree this weekend at Granum.
The gospel jamboree runs from July 22-24 featuring music by The Willie Sons, The Banksons, Keepers of the Faith and Pete and the Re-Petes.
The aerialist act Circus of the Son also returns in 2016.
Darrel Janz, who had a career in broadcasting that spanned more than 50 years, returns as master of ceremonies for the weekend.
Keepers of the Faith formed in 2000 with more than 15 members performing acapella music.
Today Keeper of the Faith is a quartet that has a full-time ministry and travels throughout Canada and the U.S.
The Willie Sons play a blend of country, bluegrass and gospel with contemporary and traditional influences.
The Banksons feature Kelton and Corrie Bankson along with Landon Andrei and perform at gospel music events across western Canada.
Pete and the Re-Petes features Pete Van Waardhuizen of Monarch and his daughters Corina, Helen, Joni and Janette.
The family group performs at fund-raising concerts across the province, supporting a variety of missionary programs.
Willow Creek Gospel Jamboree kicks off at 7 p.m. Friday, July 22 with a concert featuring The Banksons, Circus of the Son, The Willie Sons and Keepers of the Faith.
The music returns at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 23 with a concert featuring Circus of the Son, The Willie Sons, The Banksons and praise and worship.
An afternoon concert begins at 1 p.m. with praise and worship, along with Pete and the Re-Petes, Circus of the Son, The Willie Sons, Keepers of the Faith and The Banksons.
A beef on a bun supper will be served at the homesteader from 5-7 p.m.
The Saturday evening concert at 7 p.m. features Pete and the Re-Petes, Circus of the Son, The Willie Sons, The Banksons and Keepers of the Faith.
There is a vacation bible school for children aged six to 12 years from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 23.
On Sunday, July 24 a complimentary pancake breakfast will be served from 8-9 a.m.
The morning service gets under way at 9:30 a.m. and features music by Keepers of the Faith and The Banksons.
