Fort Macleod Chamber co-ordinates annual shopping spree

Corrine Conner of Fort Macleod was the winner of the 2016 Holiday Shopping Spree sponsored by the Fort Macleod Chamber of Commerce.

Shopping in Fort Macleod this weekend and during the rest of the Christmas season will pay off for some lucky person.
The Fort Macleod and District Chamber of Commerce is offering people a chance to win a $2,045 shopping spree at participating businesses.
Winning $2,045 in gift certificates to supplement your Christmas shopping is as easy as entering your name in a draw box at one of the participating businesses.
The draw will be made at 12 noon on Friday, Dec. 22.
Chamber of Commerce administrative assistant Ashley Nelson collected the gift certificates.
Last year, Corrine Conner got an early Christmas surprise when her name was drawn as the shopping spree winner.
The Chamber of Commerce organizes the Shopping Spree as part of its efforts to encourage people to shop locally during the Christmas season.
Fort Macleod businesses offer quality merchandise at low prices as well as a personal touch for people shopping for Christmas gifts.
Customers also don’t have to struggle to find parking and battle huge crowds and long line-ups like they do in the city.
Participating businesses made a cash contribution to the program and will honour the gift certificates.
The gift certificates can be redeemed at the participating businesses for regular-priced merchandise.
The gift certificates cannot be redeemed for cash.
