Chief Mountain border crossing re-opens

The Canada Border Services Agency re-opened the Chief Mountain port of entry for the season, beginning May 15.
Last season, almost 129,000 travellers entered Canada at Chief Mountain and Waterton Lakes National Park, and border services officers are preparing for another busy summer.
Chief Mountain, on Highway 6 in Alberta, is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. until May 31.
From June 1 to Sept. 3 the crossing is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and from Sept. 4-30 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Wild Horse port of entry is extending its hours for the season.
The port of Wild Horse is 68 kilometres north of Havre, Montana on U.S. Highway 232, and 145 kilometres south of Medicine Hat on Highway 41.
Wild Horse hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. until Sept. 30, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Oct. 1 to May 14, 2019.
