Fox, Eileen

Eileen Fox passed away peacefully at Extendicare in Fort Macleod on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at the age of 94 years.
Eileen was married to her husband Walter for 67 years before his passing in 2009. They lived in the Hillsdown district near Red Deer for 34 years before retiring and moving to Red Deer where she resided until 2014 when she moved to Fort Macleod.
Eileen was very active with the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary for 50 years where she actively competed in shuffleboard, winning many medals and trophies.
Eileen is survived by her children, Sherry (Jack) of Spruce Grove, George (Gwen) of Fort Macleod, Sandy (Tony) of Raymond, Daryl (Donna) of Edmonton; daughter-in-law Donna of Sylvan Lake; sister Olive Harris; and sister-in-law Ada Fox.
Eileen is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Walter; three sons; two great grandchildren; one great great grandson; her parents; stepfather; two brothers; and three sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at the Royal Canadian Legion in Red Deer.

The family would like to thank all of the staff who were at Pioneer Lodge when Mom lived there and the staff at Extendicare for all the great care that she received.
