Fort Macleod Mavericks went unbeaten to claim the championship of their own Pee Wee hockey tournament on the weekend.
Sundre Huskies, Medicine Hat Devils, Medicine Hat Leafs and Airdrie Crush were other teams in the three-day tournament.

The Mavericks opened the tournament Friday with a thrilling 9-8 win over Sundre Huskies.
Fort Macleod took a 2-1 lead in the first period but Sundre roared back to pull in front 5-4 after 40 minutes.
The Mavericks took the lead mid way through the third period only to have Sundre score two to regain the lead.
The Mavericks again pulled ahead but Sundre took one-goal lead with two minutes to play.
Fort Macleod tied the game with a minute to play and Nathan Keller scored his sixth of the game 11 seconds later to give the Mavericks the 9-8 win.
AJ Poytress led the Mavericks with nine points on two goals and seven assists and Keller had six goals and two assists for an eight-point outing.
Carson Warren scored once and set up four other Fort Macleod goals.
Odessa Grier, Avery Wolstenholme and Dylan Feyter each had an assist.
Teran Broderson earned the win in goal.

Dylan Feyter scored with 2:11 to play Saturday afternoon as the Mavericks edged Medicine Hat Devils 6-5.
Feyter’s goal saved the Mavericks, who squandered a four-goal lead in the third period.
Keller had three goals and an assist for the Mavericks, Feyter and Poytress each had a goal and an assist and Daxz Vance had a single.
Warren, Jack Grier, Hayden Provost, Britt Meech, Liam Beer, Rylan Carter and Odessa Grier each had an assist.
Carter Henderson was between the pipes for the win.

Fort Macleod had an easier time of it in their third game of the tournament as they dumped Airdrie Crush 7-1 Saturday afternoon.
Keller had a hat trick and Poytress, Vance, Meech and Provost each had a goal and an assist.
Wolstenholme had two assists and Jack Grier had one.
Broderson was back in goal for the victory.

The Mavericks completed their unbeaten run in round-robin with a 6-2 win over Medicine Hat Leafs on Sunday morning.
The Mavericks exploded for five third-period goals to steal the win.
Warren had a goal and two assists for the Mavericks and Keller scored three time.
Vance and Hayden Provost each had a goal and an assist and Aidan Crosschild, Wolstenholme, and Carter each had an assist.
Three of the Fort Macleod goals were scored shorthanded.
Henderson was the winning goalie.

Their 4-0 record put the Mavericks in top spot in round-robin and into the tournament championship Sunday against Sundre Huskies.
Fort Macleod built a 3-0 lead in the first period, stretched it to 4-0 in the second and traded goals with Sundre in the third to clinch the title with a 5-1 victory.
Special teams played a big role in the win as Fort Macleod scored three powerplay and one shorthanded goal.
Feyter had a goal and two assists, Keller had two goals and Vance and Jack Grier had singles.
Carter, Provost and Meech each had an assist.
Broderson picked up the win in goal for Fort Macleod.
