Betty Lou Weisbrod of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Donald Beattie, passed away after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at the age of 71 years.
Betty Lou is survived by her daughter Margie (Tony) Goulet of Warner; her son Mitch Weisbrod (Lana Rausch) of Lethbridge; her grandchildren Natasha (Derek), Bryce, Jaymee Goulet, Carson Lemieux, Mikhail Weisbrod; and one great grandson, Remington Bryce.
Betty Lou is also survived by her sister Georgia (Hans) Kuit; brother Pat Michell; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Betty Lou was predeceased by her parents Leo and Peggy Michell; her brother Butch Michell; and Sister Jeannie Michell.
Betty was a best friend to everyone she met. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her grandkids. She was a life member of the Legion Branch No. 46 in which she held many positions on the executive. She was the service officer for several years and travelled to many towns in her quest to visit and assist the veterans with whatever they needed.
Betty Lou was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by all those that knew her.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Union Cemetery, Fort Macleod.
