Ghostbusters wrap-up meeting planned

Fort Macleod residents and business owners have a chance this week to air their feelings — good and bad –about the latest movie filmed on Main Street.
Fort Macleod and District Chamber of Commerce is hosting a meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28 in council chambers at the G.R. Davis Administration Building.
Crews spent last week doing the clean-up for Ghostbusters 2020, a $170-million Hollywood movie that filmed scenes earlier this month in Fort Macleod.
The Chamber wants to facilitate a discussion with Main Street and Second Avenue business and property owners about their experiences while filming took place.
Some concerns were expressed by the business community during the open house on Aug. 1.
The Chamber now wants to determine if more concerns were raised during the filming.
The Chamber also wants to hear any success stories in dealing with the film company.
The discussion will be led by the Chamber.
Town of Fort Macleod chief administrative office Sue Keenan will attend to assist with clarification of the town’s filming policy.
Anyone unable to attend the meeting who has an issue to be addressed is asked to make the Chamber aware prior to Thursday’s meeting.
Fort Macleod will likely host more film projects, so the Chamber said now is the time to address any issues.
