Jacqueline Sharp recognized potential when she bought Village Greenery and Gifts from Eileen Moses and renamed the business greenery on main.
As greenery on main approaches its second anniversary, Jacqueline is pleased that her original belief has been reinforced.
“I have been overjoyed with the support of the community of Fort Macleod and surrounding area,” Jacqueline said. “I hope to be a vital part of the shopping that is available in fabulous Fort Macleod for many years.”
Jacqueline, who has long had a love of flowers, creating and decorating, saw the business, which has served Fort Macleod and district for more than 30 year, as a perfect fit for her.
greenery on main, which specializes in fresh and silk flowers, gifts and ladies’ wear, last year received the Fort Macleod and District Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Award, and Jacqueline was nominated for the Women In Business Excellence Award.
The staff of Jacqueline, Joyce Widmer, Betty Hamilton, Alex Garrett and Chelsey Van Sluys use their combined experience of more than 30 years to create fresh and silk flower arrangements. They specialize in arrangements for weddings and funerals.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, greenery on main is closed for in-store shopping but is accepting phone orders from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or on-line for delivery or curbside pick-up.

Owning greenery on main brings Jacqueline full circle. She worked for the original owners in the late 1980s.
