Granum school ends year with awards

Granum school wrapped the 2019-’20 year Thursday with a drive-by graduation and awards ceremony.

The ceremony traditionally held in the school was moved outside and scaled down due to the COVID-19 pandemic that prevents large gatherings.

Staff members stood on the lawn outside the school while students passed in automobiles.

Signs announcing the annual award winners with their photos displayed lined the lawn.

Gift bags were handed out to the Grade 9 students who are graduating from Granum school and moving on to high school.

Photos of Grade 9 students Charlie Brobbel, Cameron Doerksen, Lisa Friessen, Isabella Krahn, Trinity Nicholas and Skyler Wilde were posted on a board in front of the school.
