Trailer, tools stolen from wind farm site

An enclosed trailer and tools were gone like the wind overnight Jan. 15 from a wind farm construction site.

Cpl. Jeff Feist said in a news release RCMP received a complaint Jan. 15 of a white seven foot by 14 foot enclosed trailer being stolen over night at a wind farm construction site north of Pincher Creek.

The trailer contained a large amount of tools and crane rigging equipment used to install wind turbines. The value of the equipment and tools is more than $50,000.

The trailer plate was Alberta 5RA624. It is believed a dual tired truck was used to steal this trailer.

Pincher Creek area is experiencing a large amount of crime both in the town and rural areas, and RCMP encourage anyone who sees suspicious activity or vehicles to record all information they can and call police or 911.
