Nellie de Kok of Fort Macleod, beloved wife of Andy de Kok, passed away on Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, at the age of 88 years.

Beside her loving husband Andy, Nellie is survived by her daughters; Nelleke (James) Kreft, Janet (Gerrit) Van Hierden, and Andrea (Peter) Feyter; 16 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; sisters Janny (Marinus) Indenbosch and Mattie (John) Vanee; brother-in-law Kees de Kok; sisters-in-law Kaatje Neels and Neeltje Neels; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. 

Nellie was predeceased by her parents Dingenis and Stoffelina Van Sluys; son Andrew; grandson Adrian Kreft; brothers John, Pete and Andy; and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Nellie married Andy soon after coming to Canada in 1951. The family spent 15 happy years together in Nanton and since 1967 have resided in the Fort Macleod area. Nellie spent the last few years together with Andy in the Bethesda Care Home in Picture Butte. She made a special effort to make a happy home for her husband, children and grandchildren. Every one of her family was important; every one of her grandchildren and great grandchildren had a special place in her heart.

A private family graveside will be held at Union Cemetery on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021, with Reverend H.D. den Hollander officiating.
