Fort Macleod 4-H Beef Club holds achievement day

Morgan McNab showed the grand champion steer last week at the Fort Macleod 4-H Beef Club’s annual achievement day.

Taylor McNab showed the club’s reserve champion steer.

In the club’s lamb class, the grand champion lamb was shown by Natalie Donahue, with Taylor McNab showing the reserve champion lamb.

Due to public health restrictions for the COVID-19 pandemic, the club held its sale on-line.

The sale opened Sunday, with bids closing at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 2 at www.starlingauctionsltd.com.

Club leaders this year are Teresa Donahue, Jeanette Deurloo and Wanda McNab.

Junior members are Janessa Boot, Hailey Chester, Carter Chester, Presley DeKok, Natalie Donahue, Luke Donahue, Jack Hewlett, Faith Hewlett, Morgan McNab and Kelley Van Ee.

Intermediate members are Taylor McNab, Ken Oudshoorn and Justin Van Ee.

Cleavers are Kendal DeKok, Derek DeKok, Matthew Donahue and Claire Hewlett.

Brian Hofer was the lamb conformation and showmanship judge.

The steer conformation and showmanship judges were Duncan and Cecilie Fleming.
