Fort Macleod launches Christmas gift program

The Salvation Army is partnering with the Heart of Fort Macleod to provide Christmas items for families in need.

The mission of this program is to provide Christmas presents to families that could benefit from this program.

This program is for residents of Fort Macleod and surrounding areas.

Gifts or donations need to be in by Wednesday, Dec. 1.

“We will be accepting donations of individual gifts, as well as gifts of warm clothes, socks and boots,” explained Laura Pearce of the Heart of Fort Macleod.

“We would also appreciate financial donations to help ensure that we are able to provide for every family in need. If you or your agency would like to financially donate to this program money will be accepted at the town office.”

Toys are needed for children two years and under, as well as nine to 18 years.

“We are also looking for donations of Axe, Dove, and shampoo kits for teenagers,” Pearce added.

There will be drop-off locations for toys at the Town Office, Red Apple, as well as Digbee’s Diner.

If you would like more information please contact Laura Pearce at or text or call 403-894-8300, or Brooke Harty at or text or call 403-505-7782.
