Granum plans Canada Day celebration

As the COVID-19 pandemic public health restrictions are gradually lifted, Granum plans to celebrate.
The Granum and District Canada Day Society will revive its annual July 1 celebration.

“After a year of living through isolation the society believes we are all in need of a Canada Day celebration on July 1,” wrote society secretary Wendy Kennedy.

In a letter to Fort Macleod council, Kennedy explained the society will limit the celebration to a parade and fireworks.
Last year, the Canada Day celebration was cancelled entirely due to the pandemic.
The parade will start at 7:30 p.m. July 1, followed by fireworks at dusk.
Some Fort Macleod council members will participate in the Granum parade.
