RCMP investigate damaged grain

Pincher Creek RCMP are investigating a mischief complaint after eight bags of grain were damaged.

RCMP were called about 12:20 p.m. Jan. 30 to a  rural location a few kilometers east of Pincher Creek on Township Road 64.

RCMP media relations officer Cpl. Tammy Keibel said in a news release eight bags containing barley had been damaged.

The barley, which has a value of $225,000 per bag, was exposed to the elements. 

Keibel said the investigation determined the incident occurred sometime between 4 p.m. Jan. 29 and 10 a.m. Jan. 30.

Pincher Creek RCMP are asking the public for any information in relation to this incident or identifying those responsible.
