Singer, songwriter, author Tim Isberg at the library

Fort Macleod’s Tim Isberg returns to his home town Thursday, April 14 for “An Evening of Stories.”

Isberg will be at Fort Macleod Library at 7 p.m.

Originally from Fort Macleod, Isberg is a singer, songwriter, veteran soldier and contributing author.

From tours of duty in Rwanda, Balkans, Middle East and Afghanistan, Isberg has experienced the best and worst humanity has to offer.

Isberg is a story-teller and a multiple award nominee who brings well-crafted Americana songs and stories to the stage and an array of life experiences he shares with his audience in his music performances.

Isberg is also a published author.  Simon & Schuster’s book Everyday Heroes includes a chapter by Isberg on one of his many experiences in the line of duty in Rwanda.

Everyday Heroes is a national best-seller, a copy of which is in Fort Macleod Library.

As a public speaker and entertainer, in 2019 Fort Macleod was treated to Isberg’s unique special touring project at the Empress Theatre titled “25 Years After: Songs and Stories of a Canadian Soldier in Rwanda.

Combining a cascade of photographs, stories and live music, Isberg shared a very personal account of his experiences deployed in Rwanda in 1994 and songs it inspired.

A graduate of F.P. Walshe school, Isberg went on to obtain an education in environmental sciences, international studies and Western Canadian history. He yearns to keep up his horse training skills and still plays hockey the best way he knows how.

Fort Macleod Library is welcoming Tim Isberg back to town for a casual evening of stories and background talk on his contribution to the book Everyday Heroes. There will sure to be some reminiscing and maybe some songs.

Isberg is also a published author. Simon & Schuster’s book Everyday Heroes includes a chapter by Isberg on one of his many experiences in the line of duty in Rwanda.
