F.P. Walshe Flyers made a clean sweep of things on the night they honoured their seniors.
Both the junior and senior varsity Flyers swept the visiting Matthew Halton Hawks Wednesday in Westwinds Volleyball League play.
Flyers coach Aidan Kidd paid tribute to the five Grade 12 players prior to the senior varsity match.
Jamae Boot, Kacee Larson, Sierra Perry, Allisa Ross and Zeynep Turktas were playing in the final home match of their high school careers.
The junior varsity teams took to the court first, with F.P. Walshe winning the first set 25-14.
It was a closer battle in the second set, with the Flyers prevailing 25-20.
The Hawks continued to push the JV Flyers, but F.P. Walshe completed the sweep with a 26-24 win in the third and final set.
The JV Flyers are Raegan Gurney, Jocelynn Foote, Angelina Morris, Sharlene Maljaars, Avery Rippin, Rylee Steadman, Ammi Saunders, London Wolstenholme, Zoe Nelson, Avery Smith and Laurice Nieto.
The senior Flyers also swept the Hawks, winning the first set 25-13.
The Flyers won the second set 25-14 and completed the sweep with a 25-20 decision in the third set.
The other senior Flyers are Jessica Robertson, Maddie Meech, Maddy DeGinnus, Maizie Meech, Gretta Jacob and Lexi Schaffer.
