Fort Macleod Emergency Department to temporarily close

Due to a lack of physician coverage, the Fort Macleod Health Centre Emergency Department will be temporarily closed from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 19.

During the temporary closure, nursing staff will remain on-site to provide care for long-term care residents.

EMS calls will be re-routed to Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge.

Patients seeking care can access emergency services at the Pincher Creek Health Centre, Cardston Health Centre or Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge.

Residents are reminded to call Health Link at 811, which is available 24/7 for non-emergency health-related questions.
