1931 — 2023
Mrs. Gerda Trojan of Fort Macleod, beloved wife of the late Mr. Michael Trojan, passed away peacefully at Fort Macleod Extendicare on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at the age of 92 years.
Gerda will be lovingly missed by her granddaughter Chelsea (Corey Segboer) Donaldson, and her great grandchildren Cian, Carter, Cole and Charley.
Gerda was predeceased by her daughter Laurie in May 2013.
Gerda immigrated to Canada with her husband and a young toddler in tow in search of a different life in the 1950s. They settled in southern Alberta where she eventually worked for many years at Hodnett’s IDA Pharmacy up to retirement. For all who knew Gerda, she loved travelling, gardening, spending time at the cabin or with her close friends quilting or playing bridge. Her kindness and love of dogs and animals will always be remembered.
Gerda loved to spend time in her gardens, and as such an outdoor celebration of life will be held in her honour on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2023, at 255-18th St., Fort Macleod, from 4-6 p.m.
