Upon retirement Rod remained active in the mining industry, serving as director on the boards of mining companies. He was on the board of Regent College and was an active member of the St. John’s Vancouver Anglican Church. He had a deep personal faith in Jesus Christ and tried to live his life with integrity coupled with good humor.
We are grateful for the compassionate care Rod received from the Waterford Care Centre staff. He will be sadly missed by those who knew him. His strong faith in God allowed him to peacefully pass to be with his wife Irene who he greatly missed. Goodbye Dad, say hi to Mom. We love you.
Burial will occur in the summer where he will be buried at the family plot in Granum with his wife.
