1947~2020
Kenneth (Kenny) Charles Collar of Fort Macleod, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2020, at the age of 72 years.
Besides his loving partner Margaret, Kenny is survived by his sister Elsie (Dwight); his stepchildren Heather, Mike (Tanya), Tim (Kim), Tyler (Marlené), Randy; and his grandchildren Brenden, Jayme, Jesse, Sara Collar, and Jesse (Amber) Ducharme.
Kenny was predeceased by his parents Bill and Mable Collar, and Sheila Collar.
Kenny will be greatly missed by his many friends and family. He was the kind of grandpa who never missed an opportunity to be there for his grandkids and did his best to make them feel special.
Kenny spent most of his working years between Circle C, and managing the clubhouse at the Fort Macleod Golf Course. During this time he made many lasting friendships. After meeting Margaret, they decided to retire and spent the last 10 years travelling and enjoying life.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020, at the Trinity United Church, 220 20th St., Fort Macleod, with Rev. Aldeen McKay officiating. A reception followed at the Fort Macleod Legion.
