Comic Strippers take stage at Empress

The Comic Strippers, a Canadian comedy quartet, will take the stage at the Empress Theatre on Thursday, April 23 at 7:30 p.m.

This award-winning parody blends improv comedy with a male-stripper send-up for audiences of all genders.

It’s an adults-only satire with no actual nudity — just big laughs.

Portraying a fictional male stripper troupe, a cast of some of Canada’s best improvisational comedians delivers a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud show.

They try to be sexy, but their dad bods make it even funnier.

Between scenes, they groove, banter with the crowd, and put a hilarious twist on classic improv sketches.

They sing, “dance,” and keep the energy high from start to finish.

Semi-undressed and completely unscripted, The Comic Strippers take off their shirts and take audience suggestions to create a whole new genre of comedy.

The Comic Strippers have been featured on CBC’s Just for Laughs, The Debaters, Winnipeg Comedy Festival and Halifax Comedy Festival, CTV’s Comedy Inc. and Comedy Now, NBC’s Late Friday, and more.

Created by Comic Stripper Roman Danylo — seen on TV comedies including Comedy Inc. and Corner Gas — The Comic Strippers are a group of friends who also happen to be top-notch improv comedians.

Tickets are at www.macleodempress.com, 403-553-4404 or at the box office on Main Street.
