PEAKS Collegiate capital project on target

The PEAKS Collegiate Campus capital project is on schedule for completion in the latter part of June, Livingstone Range School Division said last week.

The project includes a 488 square meter addition of contemporary programming space and a 106.5 square meter dormitory addition, alongside the existing building.

“The momentum on this capital project means that we expect to meet our target completion date by the end of June,” said Jeff Perry, associate superintendent of business services. “We look forward to having students in this world-class learning facility beginning this summer, with a grand opening being planned for September.”

Under the supervision of the prime contractor, Elevate Construction Partners, the subcontractors have completed the watertight roofing membrane and the electrical and plumbing within the walls.

Drywall is ongoing in the multipurpose room, ducting will begin shortly, and metal cladding is being installed on the roof.

Exterior rough grading and removal in the parking lot area is ongoing.

PEAKS Collegiate Campus for Environmental Science provides students with career-connected educational pathways through innovative partnerships between Livingstone Range School Division, Lethbridge Polytechnic, and industry partners.

PEAKS Campus is also home to year-round place-based experiential programming as well as Livingstone Range School Division’s summer education program FACES, which is open to high school students from across Alberta.
